Dear Morningside residents,

The Annual MCA Meeting will be held IN PERSON on Saturday Jan 31, 2026 at 4pm. Join us for a happy hour and get to know the MCA candidates. Location  is Osteria 56, on 56th Street.

Timeline of events and deadlines leading to the meeting and elections:

If you would like to run for an MCA board position, send an email to election chairs (dmaland@gmail.com & neilprobertson@gmail.com).  There is one (1) open position in each of the six (6) districts as well as three (3) member-at-large positions.  Refer to our website or see below for district delineations. The last day to submit your candidacy is January 14, 2026.  You must be a current MCA member to qualify as a candidate and/or to vote. There is one vote per household. While any resident of Morningside can join the MCA, only homeowners are eligible to run for the board and to vote in the elections.

All candidates are invited to email their photo and a short statement (no more than 200 words) to the election chairs for electronic distribution. In addition, the candidates will be invited to introduce themselves and address the residents at the annual meeting on Jan 31 (NB. you are not required to be present at the annual meeting in order to run).

Absentee ballots will be circulated electronically via electionbuddy.com (more info to follow). You may choose to request a paper absentee ballot by contacting the election chairs. Paper and electronic ballots will be available from January 24 at 8am and must be submitted no later than January 29 by 6pm.

On the ballot as well will be a vote on amending the current MCA bylaws.
