Join your neighbors for a kids bike ride and a block party! 

The last two rides were fun, with 70+ riders (big and small!), and we hope this one will be too.

Details:

Meeting Spot and Time: Meet at 57^th Street, just east of North Bayshore Drive, at 6:00pm.  Please wait in the cul-de-sac and off North Bayshore until a ‘kidical’ mass gathers for the ride.

Route: Same as before, posted below.  Take the time to look it over so you can be prepared and help direct others.  

 Police Escorts: As before, the police will be escorting our ride! Please be sure to thank them when you see them—it’s nice of our local cops to devote the time and attention to our neighborhood.

 All wheels welcome: this is meant to be a mass bike ride, but scooters, jogging strollers, skateboards, all welcome, so long as you can be safe and keep pace.

 Ride Safety: Take the time to speak with your kids about bike ride safety before the ride and please be careful to avoid collisions.  Encourage kids to watch out for little ones and use care when approaching intersections.  Also, no racing! We want to have a safe ride. 

After Party- The 55th Street families and the Morningside Civic Association have volunteered to host an after-party on 55th Street, west of 5th Avenue.  7-8 pm.  Please RSVP to attend.
